🇦🇱 How tax works
in Albania.

2026 · National income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

The monthly employment schedule for salaries above ALL60,000 is annualised as ALL0 on the first ALL360,000, 13% through ALL2,400,000, and 23% above.

The ALL50,001–60,000 transitional monthly band differs. Year-end annual assessment also cites 13% to ALL2,040,000 then 23%; dependent/education reliefs and social contributions are excluded.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Albania comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
