🇧🇧 How tax works
in Barbados.

2026 · National income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

From income year 2026, taxable income up to BBD50,000 is taxed at 11.5%, and the excess at 27.5%.

Personal allowance, social insurance, employment deductions, rebates and special concessions are excluded. These rates apply to taxable income, not unadjusted payslip gross.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Barbados comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
