🇧🇩 How tax works
in Bangladesh.

2026/27 · National income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

The general taxpayer schedule for FY2026/27 has a BDT400,000 zero-rate threshold. A BDT5,000 minimum tax applies once taxable income exceeds that threshold.

The model assumes an existing general taxpayer. New-taxpayer minimum tax, women/senior/disability thresholds, salary exclusions, investment rebates and wealth surcharges are excluded.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Bangladesh comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
