🇩🇰 How tax works
in Denmark.
2026 · National income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
This 2026 scenario combines 8% labour-market tax with average municipal tax 25.049% and national bottom 12.01%, middle 7.5%, top 7.5% and top-top 5%, using PwC gross thresholds before labour-market tax and the 44.57% personal-income tax ceiling.
Personfradrag (DKK54,100), employment deduction, church tax, capital-income rules and the expatriate 27% scheme are excluded. Actual municipal rates differ from the national average.
Doctors: employment and independent practice
The Denmark comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
