🇩🇴 How tax works
in Dominican Republic.
2026 · National income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
The FY2026 salary schedule starts with DOP416,220 exempt. Published fixed-tax amounts are rounded; slice arithmetic may differ slightly.
Social insurance, deductions and non-resident withholding are excluded. The source lists a different 2027 schedule; this model does not apply it early.
Doctors: employment and independent practice
The Dominican Republic comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
