🇮🇷 How tax works
in Iran.

FY 1404 (≈ Mar 2025–Mar 2026) salary tax · Income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

Budget Law 1404 employment/salary progressive rates after the Art. 84 annual exemption of IRR 2,880,000,000: 10%/15%/20%/25%/30% on successive slices up to and above IRR 8,000,000,000.

Special Art. 85 10%/20% schedule for certain academics, full-time physicians and judges is excluded. Overtime and some fringe items can be taxed at flat 10%.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Iran comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.

Tax brackets · IRR

Each rate applies only to the income inside that band.
