2026 · National income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

The national IRPEF schedule has three bands in 2026. The middle rate is 33%, followed by 43% above €50,000.

Regional and municipal income taxes, employee tax credits, social insurance and ENPAM obligations are excluded. This result is national IRPEF only.

For doctors

This model is for ordinary individual employment income. Private-practice receipts, professional expenses and medical pension arrangements need a separate assessment. A hospital's withholding is not necessarily your final annual tax.

Tax brackets · EUR

Each rate applies only to the income inside that band.
