🇰🇮 How tax works
in Kiribati.

Income Tax Act Schedule 1 (resident individuals) · Income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

Schedule 1 resident individual scale: nil to AUD 1,800; 20% to 15,000; 25% to 20,000; 30% to 50,000; 35% above AUD 50,000.

Non-residents pay the standard rate (30%). Some secondary guides cite later Schedule 1 amendments (e.g. AUD 6,500 / 25–35%); this model follows the Schedule 1 text in the consolidated Act PDF.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Kiribati comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
