🇱🇷 How tax works
in Liberia.

2026 (PwC last reviewed 24 Sep 2026) · Income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

PwC resident natural-person progressive PIT in LRD: nil to 70,000; 5% of excess to 200,000; 15% of excess to 800,000; 25% above 800,000.

Non-residents are flat 20%. PAYE is monthly using the same annual schedule.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Liberia comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
