🇱🇹 How tax works
in Lithuania.
2026 · National income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
From 2026, the general aggregated income schedule uses 20%, 25% and 32% bands. Thresholds are linked to average wages.
The income-dependent non-taxable amount, social contributions and special relief for individual activities are excluded.
For doctors
This model is for ordinary individual employment income. Private-practice receipts, professional expenses and medical pension arrangements need a separate assessment. A hospital's withholding is not necessarily your final annual tax.
Tax brackets · EUR
Each rate applies only to the income inside that band.
| Taxable income slice | Rate |

| 83,237 – 138,729 | 25.0% |
