π±πΊ How tax works
in Luxembourg.
2026 Β· National income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
Tax class 1 applies to the single-person scenario. The model includes the solidarity charge of 7% of income tax, increasing to 9% above EUR150,000.
Employment deductions, personal tax credits and social contributions are excluded. Married, older and single-parent classes differ.
Doctors: employment and independent practice
The Luxembourg comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesiaβs NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
