🇴🇲 How tax works
in Oman.
2026 · National income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
No personal income tax is applied to employment salary in this 2026 scenario.
Social insurance, pension and insurance deductions are excluded. A zero salary income-tax rate does not establish that clinic business profits or foreign tax obligations are exempt. Oman’s new personal income tax starts on 1 January 2028; it is not applied to this 2026 scenario.
Doctors: employment and independent practice
The Oman comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
