🇸🇷 How tax works
in Suriname.

2024+ loonbelasting (SB 2024 no. 2) · National income tax guide

The calculation, explained.

Annual wage-tax model: SRD 108,000 tax-free sum, then 8%/18%/28%/38% on successive SRD 42,000 slices of belastbaar loon (Art. 13–14 as amended 1 Jan 2024).

Matches the annual inkomstenbelasting natural-person scale in Wet IB Art. 34. Fixed professional-expense deduction (SRD 4,800) and overtime/bonus special tables are excluded. 2025 SB changes did not alter these regular wage bands.

Doctors: employment and independent practice

The Suriname comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
