🇿🇲 How tax works
in Zambia.
2026 · Income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
The 2026 annual taxable-income schedule starts at zero up to ZMW61,200 and rises to 37%.
Personal allowances, tax credits, deductible contributions and practice expenses are excluded unless stated. This is income tax, not a full payroll or clinic profit calculation.
Doctors: employment and independent practice
The Zambia comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
