🇧🇷 How tax works
in Brazil.
2026 (Jan monthly schedule × 12) · National income tax guide
The calculation, explained.
PwC January 2026 monthly progressive table annualised ×12 for equal monthly salary: exempt to BRL 2,428.80/month, then 7.5%, 15%, 22.5% and 27.5%.
Simplified monthly deductible-tax amounts are not modeled as credits. Dependent deductions, INSS and the separate profit-sharing table are excluded. Uneven bonus timing can change annual withholding.
Doctors: employment and independent practice
The Brazil comparison is an ordinary resident employment scenario. We have not yet verified a doctor-specific independent-practice regime for this country. Do not apply Indonesia’s NPPN 50% here or enter clinic turnover as salary. Practice deductions, professional contributions and mixed income require additional local research.
